Tuesday coffee hours in Ceylon for July

St. Peter Lutheran in Ceylon will host the Tuesday morning coffee fellowship during the month of July. Serving begins 8:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

City of Lakes Garden Club to meet

City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will meet 9 a.m. Wednesday in the open air shelter at Lincoln Park, Fairmont. Coffee and table service will be provided. Members are asked to bring their own breakfast in a bag. There will be a presentation on “Vegetables – Brassica Family (broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, etc.). The purpose of the organization is to encourage all forms of horticulture in the home and community. Those interested in becoming a member or who would like more information may call Myrtle Heifner at (507) 235-8535. New members are welcome.

Tucker Schumann of Sherburn was named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester for Buena Vista University (Estherville, Iowa, site).

Claudia Kinnander of Armstrong was named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
