Truman class of 1959 to lunch

Truman High School class of 1959 will meet for their monthly luncheon 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Huntley Cafe in Huntley. All classmates are encouraged to attend. A reminder that to celebrate their 60th anniversary of graduation, the class will meet 12:30 p.m. Sept. 25 in the club house at Rose Lake Golf Course, rural Fairmont.

First Congregational to host free meal

First Congregational United Church of Christ will host a free community meal 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. The meal consisting of grilled pork loin sandwiches, baked beans, various salads and bars will be served by the East Chain 4-H Club. Everyone is welcome.

Red Rock to hold kids painting class

Community Education and Recreation (CER) will hold a kids sign painting class for children, ages 5-12, at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Red Rock Center for the Arts, 222 E. Blue Earth Ave., Fairmont. There is a cost. Pre-registration is required. To register, please call CER at (507) 235-3141.
