Education teaching event slated in Northrop

Pastors; board members; past, present and future parents; and all who value Lutheran education are invited to a teaching by Rev. Adam Carnehl at 7 p.m. tonight at St. James Lutheran Church and School, 108 James St. South, in Northrop. Child care will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

Tractor association to meet Thursday

Prairieland Antique Tractor Association will meet 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Acres in Fairmont. The public is welcome.

Ruby’s Pantry plans food distribution

Ruby’s Pantry, a community food outreach program, will hold a food distribution from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at East Chain Evangelical Free Church, 507 280th Ave., rural East Chain. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by the $20 cash donation per participant for operational costs. Class of 1970 needs your help

The Fairmont High School class of 1970’s 50th class reunion is being planned for 2020. They are looking for class members to join the reunion committee and help plan a date, time, location, menu, activities, etc., for the reunion next year. Jossi Vanderwoude of Jackson and Parker Anderson of Sherburn were named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester at Rochester Community and Technical College in Rochester.

Jadyn Anderson of St. James was named to the President’s list for the 2019 spring semester at Rochester Community and Technical College in Rochester.

Lindsey Jacobs of Blue Earth was named to the dean’s list for the winter/May term at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
