Exchange Club to meet today

Fairmont Exchange Club will meet noon today at Martin County Historical Society, Fairmont. This week will feature Jim Miller, who will talk about the Martin County Veterans Memorial. Early Risers to hold Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured this week will be Jason Christenson, School Resource Officer for Fairmont Area Schools. The public is invited to attend.

Myeloma group to hold meeting

Fairmont Area Multiple Myeloma Support Group will meet 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the main classroom at Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont. The speaker will be Melanie Smerillo, clinical nurse educator, who will speak on “Living with Multiple Myeloma.” Patients, caregivers, family and friends are welcome to attend. Former JCPenney employees to meet

The third annual get-together for former JCPenney employees will be 5 p.m. Sunday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

College News

Alyson Eversman and Lydia Kerekes, both of Fairmont, were named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.

Joseph Brinkman of Jackson received a bachelor’s degree in psychology during a commencement ceremony May 11 at Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D.
