Pow Wow slated in Mountain Lake

The 85th anniversary of Pow Wow will be held June 14-18 in Mountain Lake. There will be raffles, food, music and more, with the grand parade on Third Avenue being held at 7 p.m. June 17. Temperance Lake Ridge to host workshops

The Active Aging programs through Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota will provide a Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshop series from 9:30-11:30 a.m. for six consecutive Tuesdays beginning June 18 and wrapping up July 23 at Temperance Lake Ridge Senior Living, 410 Fox Lake Ave., in Sherburn. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a free six-week wellness program for anyone who provides care for a loved one. During the six-session series, participants receive support from trained leaders and other caregivers. Tools will be provided to learn practical skills proven to reduce stress, communicate more effectively, improve self-care, make effective decisions and access community resources for caregivers.
