Class of 1961 to hold lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont.

City of Lakes Garden Club to meet

City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will meet 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Joy Pollock in Fairmont. There will be a business meeting followed by a presentation on “Vegetables – Peas.” The purpose of the organization is to encourage all forms of horticulture in the home and community. Those interested in becoming a member or who would like more information may call Myrtle Heifner at (507) 235-8535. New members are welcome.

Veterans memorial meeting scheduled

The monthly meeting for the Martin County Veterans Memorial will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at 95 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. All Martin County veterans, veterans’ family members or interested public may attend.

Trimont Legion Auxiliary plans meeting

Trimont Legion Auxiliary will meet 2 p.m. Thursday at the Trimont Community Building in Trimont. Plans for Memorial Day will be discussed. All members are encouraged to attend.

Plant sale fundraiser set for Saturday

A plant sale will be held 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the back parking lot at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 301 N. Main St., Fairmont. Perennials such as hostas, lilies, phlox, coneflowers and irises, as well as bedding plants, annuals and more will be available. Donation of plants will be accepted 5-7 p.m. Friday in the back parking lot at the church. All proceeds help support the Martin County Humane Society. Everyone is welcome.
