B.E. Senior Center plans fundraiser

The fourth annual Spring Fling fundraiser will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Blue Earth Senior Center, 118 W. Seventh St., in Blue Earth. A meal consisting of old-fashioned Maid-Rites, spring salads and desserts will be served. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds will help support the senior lunch program. All are welcome.

Martin Luther to hold Sunday luncheon

A soup and sandwich luncheon will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. The menu includes chicken noodle, homestead vegetable beef and baked potato chowder with bacon soups, egg salad and ham sandwiches, cupcakes, homemade ice cream, lemonade and brewed coffee. Cost is a donation. Proceeds will benefit the student tuition aid fund. Also, a $1,000 challenge match is being offered that day to help provide scholarships to students. Everyone is invited.

St. John Vianney plans Sunday meal

A free hot meal hosted by St. John Vianney Catholic Church will be held 6 p.m. Sunday in the hospitality area at their church, 901 S. Prairie Ave., Fairmont. They serve a free meal the fourth Sunday of every month. Everyone is welcome.

St. Paul Lutheran slates salad luncheon

The Charity Club of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont will host its annual salad luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the basement of the church located at 211 Budd St., Fairmont. Donations accepted. They also will have baked goods and greeting cards for sale. This is a Thrivent Action Team Project. Everyone is invited.

Schutt to be honored at upcoming luncheon

Mitchell Chautauqua Literary Circle will recognize Heidi Schutt as the 2019 Woman of Achievement at a luncheon in her honor noon May 7 in the Gathering Space at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. Reserved tickets cost $17 and may be ordered by contacting Rita Frundt, 304 S. Holland St., in Blue Earth or by calling (507) 526-5306. Make checks payable to Mitchell Chautauqua. Reservations will be taken through May 1.
