Myeloma group to hold meeting

Fairmont Area Multiple Myeloma Support Group will meet 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the main classroom at Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont. Topics will be highlights of the American Society of Hematologists and Myeloma Action Month. A light lunch will be provided. Patients, caregivers, family and friends are welcome to attend. Martin Luther plans benefit luncheon

A soup and sandwich benefit luncheon will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. The menu includes chicken noodle, homestead vegetable beef and baked potato chowder with bacon soups, egg salad and ham sandwiches, cupcakes, homemade ice cream, lemonade and brewed coffee. The cost is a donation. Proceeds will benefit the student tuition aid fund. Also, a $1,000 challenge match is being offered that day to help provide scholarships to students.
