Fairmont High School class of 1953 will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

St. Martin’s to host soup luncheon

Thrivent Action Team of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Fairmont will hold a soup luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church, 102 N. Park St., in Fairmont. Proceeds will benefit Alzheimer’s Disease Research Organization, Bright Focus Foundation. Everyone is invited to attend.

College News

Zachary Hansen of Truman was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.

The following area students graduated and were awarded degrees in December at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis.: Fairmont — Hayley Jones, bachelor’s degree in health, wellness and fitness; Jackson — Jason Vongsavanh, bachelor’s degree in business administration.
