First Congregational postpones supper

Because of the weather forecast, First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will postpone until Feb. 6 its free community meal that was planned for Wednesday.

United Methodist slates Wednesday supper

Fairmont United Methodist Church will host a supper from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 119 E. Second St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of fish fillets, mashed potatoes, cabbage slaw, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, donated desserts and beverages. A donation of $2 is suggested. Everyone is welcome.

Anna Meyer of Trimont was awarded a bachelor’s degree following the 2018 fall term at a commencement ceremony at Concordia University in Seward, Neb.
