Library to host ‘Sweet Treats and Reads’

Children in grades 3-5 are invited to join library staff for “Sweet Treats and Reads” at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. They will offer treats. Guests can enjoy book-related activities and talk about new books they are reading. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Blue Earth Area to hold conferences

Parent-student-teacher conferences for students in grades 8-12 will be held 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in the commons at Blue Earth Area High School in Blue Earth. Students are encouraged to attend conferences along with their parents or alone if parents are unable to attend. There also will be a post-high school planning meeting from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday in the Performing Arts Center at the high school. It will highlight the topic of college options. Juniors are encouraged to attend, but any other students and their families are welcome. There also will be a Parent Advisory meeting 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the school media center. A list of topics will be shared before the meeting. All parents are encouraged to attend.
