Heavy rains and inclement weather forced the following three area sporting events on Thursday to be postponed or cancelled.

• The Fairmont Area Cardinals boys soccer team’s non-league game against the Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles has been rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. today in Edgerton.

• The Fairmont Cardinals girls tennis team’s Big South Conference dual meet against the Saints in St. Peter has been rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27.

• The Blue Earth Area Bucs girls tennis lineup’s dual meet against the Eagles in New Ulm was postponed, with no makeup date scheduled yet.
