Former Blue Earth Area standout signs pro contract

SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA – A former Blue Earth Area lineman has signed a contract to play in the inaugural season of The Alliance of American Football League.

Sam Lee, a 2012 BEA graduate, started for two years in high school and was selected both years to All-Conference and All-Area teams. Lee was named Blue Earths offensive lineman of the year twice.

After graduating, Lee went on to play for the Augustana Vikings in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Lee signed with Alliance Birmingham as one of the first 15 players signed to the team and first 100 signed in the league.

The Alliance League features eight teams and will begin its 12-week season on Feb. 9, 2019.
