No. Union coasts to 66-point hoops win
WEST BEND, Iowa — Samantha Hagedorn poured in a game-best 20 points to power the North Union Warriors to a season-opening 83-17 rout over the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines during Top of Iowa Conference basketball action Tuesday night in West Bend.
Hagedorn also produced a game-best six assists to complement a game-leading six steals during the 66-point landslide victory.
Chloe Lofstrom neared double-double territory by scoring 17 points to go with garnering a game-best eight rebounds, while Hallie Reese netted 17 points, five rebounds and four steals.
Bre Anderson scored eight points and distributed three assists for North Union, while Hope Steinberger and Kaylee Tirevold contributed seven and six points, respectively.
Kate Anderson hauled in five rebounds for the Warriors, who connected on 27 of 59 shots from 2-point range.
North Union also hit 17 of 24 free throws and made 4 of 15 from 3-point range.
North Union (1-0) plays host to North Iowa next Friday night in Armstrong.
