Arrows top Rebels in semifinals

MINNEAPOLIS — The No. 6-ranked Pipestone Area Arrow beat the Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels, 28-6, in the Class AA state semifinals on Friday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Arrows went into halftime with a 20-6 lead.

Pipestone Area will face No. 1-ranked Caledonia for a rematch of the 2015 state championship game at 1 p.m. next Friday at the Minneapolis-based stadium.

Caledonia downed Paynesville Area, 49-16, for its third straight state championship game.

Jordan takes on No. 2-ranked Pierz in the Class AAA state semifinals at 2 p.m. today at U.S. Bank Stadium, while top-rated and defending champion St. Croix Lutheran will play Pequot Lakes at 4:30 p.m.

The winners play for the title at 1 p.m. next Saturday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

No. 6-ranked Nevis will take on No. 1-rated Spring Grove for the 9-Man state championship at 10 a.m. next Friday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
