Cardinals share team MVP honor

FAIRMONT — Courtney Williams and Bailee Swanson were named the most valuable players of the Fairmont Cardinals volleyball team during its awards banquet.

Williams, one of the team’s co-captains, was also deemed the Cardinals’ most valuable offensive player. Co-team captain Ericka Kim was named the most valuable defensive player and made the all-state academic team.

Andrea Westcott and Alexa Mosloski, who is on the all-state academic team, were the most improved players, while Ana Krause and Alli Lardy were given the Spirit Award.

Vikings sticking with Keenum

EDEN PRAIRIE (AP) — Case Keenum will start again at quarterback this week for the Minnesota Vikings. This time he’ll face his former team, the Los Angeles Rams.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer announced Wednesday that Keenum will keep his place. The Vikings host the Rams Sunday.
