Cardinals stay at No. 7 in poll

MINNEAPOLIS — The Fairmont Cardinals stayed put at No. 7 in this week’s Class 3A football poll. St. Croix Lutheran ranked first, while Rochester Lourdes dropped from second to fifth.

Caledonia tops the Class 2A ranking with Pipestone voted sixth and Redwood Valley seventh. Maple River ranked No. 9.

Winona and Marshall are Nos. 1 and 2, respectively in the Class 4A rankings.

In the 9-Man poll, Spring Grove got the No. 1 spot, while Cleveland ranked eighth.

Goodhue ranked first in Class A, Owatonna leads the Class 4A poll and Class 5A, No. 1-ranked Eden Prairie maintains a perfect record.

Interlaken hosts tourney Sunday

FAIRMONT — Interlaken Golf Club’s Superintendent’s Revenge Tournament will take place Sunday at the Fairmont-based course.

The four-person, best-shot format event is open to the public.
