Spring soccer competes at Jamboree

FAIRMONT – Fairmont Soccer Association spring league action continues with the following results for the month of May.

U11 Girls Division

Faribault 2, Associate Optometry of Fairmont 0 – Abby Cihoski made six saves, while Anna Utermarck made five in Fairmont’s loss to Faribault on May 26. Fairmont had 17 shots on goal.

U12 Girls Division

Saxton Family Partnership of Fairmont 2, Albert Lea 1 – Rayah Quiring and Cadee Becker combined for 10 saves equally in Fairmont’s win over Albert Lea during the first game of the Shakeout Jamboree on May 21. Ellie Schultze assisted on Sami Lenort’s goal, while Lenort and Quiring assisted on Schultze’s goal.

Saxton Family Partnership of Fairmont 1, Waconia 1 – Sami Lenort assisted on Ellie Schultze’s goal during Game Two of the Shakeout Jamboree.

Rayah Quiring made 11 saves, while Cadee Becker had six.

Saxton Family Partnership of Fairmont 1, Rochester 1 – Carissa Saxton scored Fairmont’s lone goal on a free kick during the third game of the Shakeout Jamboree. Rayah Quiring and Cadee Becker shared goaltending duties, recording six and 10 saves, respectively.

Saxton Family Partnership of Fairmont 8, Le Sueur 0 – Alyssa Wiederhoeft scored two goals and doled out two assists in Fairmont’s win over Le Sueur on May 23. Anna Nelson, who had two assists, and Rayah Quiring, who also netted two scores, assisted on each of Wiederhoeft’s goals, and Wiederhoeft provided the assist on a goal from Laura Thompson and Ellie Schultze.

Schultze added another goal with no assist. Sami Lenort contributed a goal, and Alexis Hinz finished the game with an assist.

Carissa Saxton made three saves in the win.

U14 Girls Division

Commodity Services of Fairmont 3, Mankato 3 – Isabelle Lenort scored and assisted on a goal for Fairmont during the first game of the Shakeout Jamboree on May 21.

Emma Schultze and Anna DeWitt scored the other two goals, and Kaylene Lindquist and Lexi Kaufman each assisted on a score.

Kaiden Boerner handled goaltending responsibilities and stopped three shots.

Commodity Services of Fairmont 0, Plymouth 0 – Neither team scored in Game Two of the Shakeout Jamboree. Kaiden Boerner made eight saves as the goalie in the tie.

Owatona 9, Commodity Services of Fairmont 0 – Goalie Kaiden Boerner stopped three Owatona shots during the third game of the Shakeout Jamboree.

Albert Lea 4, Commodity Services of Fairmont 1 – Emma Schultze notched Fairmont only goal in the loss to Albert Lea in the final game of the Shaekout Jamboree. Kaiden Boerner handled goaltending duties and made six saves.

Commodity Services of Fairmont 11, Wilmer 0 – Isabelle Lenort netted four unassisted goals for Fairmont in the shutout win on May 22. Lenort also assisted on one of Lexi Kaufman’s two goals.

Emma Schultze kicked in two scores, while Austyn Wohlhuter, Anna DeWitt and Brooklyn Meyer each finished with a goal scored.

McKayla Chambers made an assist in the win.

Commodity Services of Fairmont 12, Willmar 0 – Kaylene Lindquist contributed five assisted and one goal scored in Fairmont’s shutout win over Willmar on May 28.

Isabelle Lenort finished with four goals scored and two assists, and Lexi Kaufman chipped in two goals and an assist.

Anna DeWitt assisted on and scored a goal for Fairmont. Willmar netted a goal for Fairmont on Kaufman’s corner kick.

Maddy Maakestad netted a score with an assist from Emma Schultze, who also scored in the win. Kaylean Thingstad also netted a goal.

Kaiden Boerner finished the shutout win with four saves.

Commodity Services of Fairmont 1, Mankato 0 – Kayleen Thingstad scored Fairmont’s only goal in the win over Mankato on May 31. Lexi Kaufman assisted on the goal.

Kaiden Boerner handled Fairmont’s goaltending duties and blocked seven Mankato shots.

U17 Girls Division

Smart Clinic of Fairmont 4, New Ulm 0 – Emma Ward assisted on two goals in Fairmont’s win over New Ulm on May 19. Ward provided an assist Mikayla Stradtman’s goal and parntered with Kali Deboer to help Britney Drevlow net a score.

Deboer added a goal on a penalty kick, and Lindsay Miley netted a goal with an assist from Myah Lytle.

Haley Burmeister served as Fairmont’s goalie and stopped seven shots.

U12 Boys Division

Worthington 11, Bank Midwest of Fairmont 3 – Junior Sigala kicked in two goals for Fairmont in the loss to Worthington on May 10. Carson Pomerenke provided an assist on one of Sigala’s goals, and Matthew Kotewa scored Fairmont’s other goal.

Jace Prindle and Dillon Pluim shared goaltending duties and made two and six saves, respectively.

New Ulm 9, Bank Midwest of Fairmont 3 – Junior Sigala netted two scores in Fairmont’s loss to New Ulm on May 12.

Owen Burmeister shot in a goal for Fairmont. Jack Hagen made seven saves and Dillon Pluim made four saves as the two goalies for Fairmont.

Austin 4, Bank Midwest of Fairmont 3 – Jace Prindle scored and assisted on Junior Sigala’s goal for Fairmont in the loss to Austin during the Shakeout Jamboree on May 21.

Owen Burmeister contributed an assist on Jack Holmers’ score. Noah Vetter finished with two saves as Fairmont’s goalie.

St. Paul 6, Bank Midwest of Fairmont 1 – Jace Prindle notched Fairmont’s only goal during a second game in the Shakeout Jamboree.

Matthew Kotewa made 11 saves, while Dillon Pluim made five as Fairmont’s goalies.

St. Peter 11, Bank Midwest of Fairmont 1 – Junior Sigala prevented Fairmont from getting shut out with a goal scored during Game Three of the Shakeout Jamboree.

Matthew Kotewa and Ben Heinze combined forces at the net to record 22 saves for Fairmont.

U14 Boys Division

Hawk Alarm of Fairmont 3, Austin 2 – Rene Morales recorded two goals scored for Fairmont in the win during Game One of the Shakeout Jamboree on May 21.

Cole Christopher scored the other goal as Fairmont finished with eight shots on goal. Goalie Ryan Hennager made seven saves in the win.

Hutchinson 1, Hawk Alarm of Fairmont 0 – Fairmont attempted 19 shots on goal during the second game of the Shakeout Jamboree. Ryan Hennager made four saves as Fairmont’s goalie.

Hawk Alarm of Fairmont 0, New Prague 0 – Neither team scored a goal for a tie in the last game of the Shakeout Jamboree.
