I've never had a surprise party, but this past weekend came close.

I had a birthday yesterday (never mind which one. I've trained my husband to say '29 plus tax.' Of course, I need to start adding shipping and handling as well).

I went on my first-ever video shoot last week.

Makenzie Caine was back in her hometown of Blue Earth to shoot scenes for "Take This Town", the title track off her first CD, which will be released next month.

I spent an adorable morning with Granada-Huntley-East Chain kindergartners recently. I went there before school started to interview their teacher, and she invited me to stay and observe the classroom to allow me to take some pictures.
