Tax/fee.... Either way, it amounts to what? $15 a year?

There are so many people who do not have the ability to get rid of their junk. If you have no money, nor a way of transportation to a dump site how do you get rid of it?? Instead of gripping make a plan other then this one the city put on. From what I saw it worked and hope we do it again.

Thank you SONJACK. Striped Polka Dot, what do you think "charged a fee" means? It means TAXES. You've been taxed and don't even realize it.

I SEE KNOW WHAT MR KNOW IT ALL IS SAYING I TAKE BACK THAT DISAGREE. YOUR RIGHT LOCAL WASTE FIRMS ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE,AND THERE SHOULD BE MORE HELP TO GET THAT DISPOSSED OF. THIS IS WHY LANDLORDS ARE LEFT WITH ALOT OF JUNK WHEN PEOPLE MOVE ALSO.
Mrknowitall, we have been charged a fee on our utility bill for this clean up.

It seems to be one of those "Another man's trash is another man's treasure" kind of things. Was helping some people put some of their things out onto the curb for the cleanup. We all went back inside for a bit, and when we came out, half of it was gone.

This is a waste of taxpayers dollars. This could cost close to 100K. What incentive is there for citizens to keep properties clean when they know the city will do for them for free. How about a regular program for helping people dispose of items. There is no option but to use our local waste firms that charge exorbitant fees. No wonder people stock pile.

We all pay for it one way or another. I guess its just easier to get junk out of your house when someone else tells you when to do it.
