Pipestone Area (20-0) faces Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (15-6) in a 12:30 p.m. undefeated-bracket game on Saturday in Marshall.
Courtney Guetter delivered what proved to be the game-winning RBI single during the top of the ninth inning to help Fairmont eclipse Luverne, 8-7. Courtney Williams, who was courtesy running for Tieryn Arens, reached third base on Kayla Lardy's single before scoring on Guetter's hit.
Arens' grounder earlier was mishandled to allow Aly Eversman to cross the plate with Fairmont's first of two ninth-inning runs.
Guetter went 3-for-6 with one RBI and one run scored to pace Fairmont's 13-hit performance against Luverne.
