CHANHASSEN - The Fairmont Cardinals traveled for a pair of nonconference dual meets on Friday and Saturday in Chanhassen.
The Chanhassen Storm swept the Cardinals 7-0 on Friday, before Holy Family Catholic downed Fairmont 6-1 on Saturday.
Carter Klanderud earned the Cardinals lone point of the weekend, beating the Fire's Dan Cornelison in a three-set match at fourth singles on Saturday.
The Fire's Cornelison won the opening set 6-4, before Klanderud bounced back to win two straight sets to win, 7-5, 6-3.
Matt Dorn, Brock Dillon, Drew Dorn and Kyle Niebeling combined for a singles bracket sweep for the Storm on Friday.
Matt Dorn downed Sterlin Johnson 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, before Dillon beat Tyler Head in matching sets, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Drew Dorn then won the third singles match, beating Austin Becker 6-0, 6-2, before Niebeling beat Klanderud 6-4, 6-4.
Ben Kloke teamed up with Jack Braaten to beat Henrique Marquez and Ryan Busche 6-0, 6-2 at first doubles for the Storm.
Jack Wormuth and Connor Schwartz then won 6-3, 6-1 over Tony Joseph and Mitch Anderton at second doubles, before Jameson Kenny and Kai Braaten completed the doubles sweep.
Kenny and Braaten earned a 6-3, 6-0 win over Andy Hagen and Calvin King at third doubles for the 7-0 meet victory.
While Carter provided a win against the Fire on Saturday, Holy Family took the 6-1 dual meet win.
Ben Forbes dealt Johnson a 6-3, 6-4 loss at first singles, while Jake Sandefur won the second singles match 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 over Head.
Robbie Bremer then claimed the Fire's third singles win, downing Becker 6-0, 6-0.
A.J. Spaulding and David Ogren teamed up and beat Marquez and Busche at first doubles, winning 6-0, 6-1.
Zack King and Mason Hadden then won at No. 2 doubles, beating Joseph and Anderton, 6-0, 6-4.
Tommy Lentz and Joe Esensher then claimed the final meet point with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Hagen and King.
Fairmont (2-6, 1-3 SCC) travels to play a 4:30 p.m. match today in New Prague.

New Ulm 5, Blue Earth Area 2 - The Eagles swept the doubles bracket as they downed the Bucs 5-2 during South Central Conference boys tennis action on Friday at New Ulm.
Nic Gartner teamed up with Noah Stocker to beat Jaron King and Martin Granados 6-1, 6-3 in straight sets at No. 1 doubles.
John Goodall and Taylor Tambormino then continued the winning streak with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) win over Justus Thelen and Spencer Petersen at second doubles.
Earl Forter and Kelby Stocker then beat Parker Kienitz and Spenser Timmerman 6-3, 6-0 at third doubles to complete the sweep.
The Bucs managed two points, winning both the third and fourth singles matches.
Chandler Kienitz downed Tim Haag 6-3, 6-4 at third singles to give the Bucs their first point of the meet.
Chance Andrews then beat Andrew Goodall 6-3, 6-0 at fourth singles for the Bucs.
Josh Koelpin then helped the Eagles to clinch the meet victory, beating Hunter Myers 6-1, 6-2 at second singles.
Calvin Collum then added another win for the Eagles, downing Leon Chaudhari 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
Blue Earth Area (1-8, 0-4 SCC) plays host to Fairmont in a conference meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Schroeder Courts in Blue Earth.
