SHERBURN - A public graveside service for Nancy Lee Nessler, 77, of Sherburn, Minn., formerly of Ceylon, Minn., will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Lake Belt Cemetery, rural Ceylon, Minn., with Pastor Russell D. Reimers, officiating. There will be a time of sharing of memories of Nancy at 2 p.m Saturday at the American Legion Hall in Welcome.
Nancy was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Texas. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com
Nancy Lee was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Madelia, Minn., to Walter and Bertha (Wilde) Lee. She attended school in Madelia. On Jan. 23, 1954, she was united in marriage to Harold Nessler in Madelia, Minn. After their marriage she was employed at Tony Downs until 1973, when Harold and Nancy purchased the Ceylon Lanes in Ceylon, Minn. Harold died on April 23, 1987. Nancy sold the bowling alley in 1990 and was employed at Fairmont Foods in Fairmont until her retirement in 1994. She then moved to Welcome with her partner, Francis Thiner. Fran and Nancy wintered in Mission, Texas. Nancy loved dancing, knitting, playing cards, going to polka jams in Texas with Fran and spending time with her children, grandchildren and sister-in-law, Donna.
She is survived by her partner, Francis Thiner of Sherburn, Minn.; her daughter, Janet Eytcheson and partner, Bill Petersen; son, Michael Nessler and wife, Anna; daughter, Jeanne Krahmer and husband, Tom; daughter, Julie Henry and husband, Chuck; daughter, Jenell Johnson and husband, Mike; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Nessler; son, David Nessler; brothers, Norman Lee, Richard Lee, Burton Lee; sisters, Margaret Nichtern, Carole Feder and Mary Tolvar; and other relatives.
