ADRIAN - The Fairmont/Martin County West Red Bulls split nonconference triangular wrestling action on Tuesday in Adrian.

The Class A, No. 6-ranked Adrian Dragons eased by the Red Bulls 59-9, before the Red Bulls came back to beat the Luverne Cardinals 42-31.

Luverne led the team dual against the Red Bulls all the way up to the 220-pound match, but a string of three forfeits coupled with a pair of victories at 160 and 170 pounds gave the Red Bulls the 11-point win.

After Collin Steuber took the 6-2 decision over Jayden Renken at 113 pounds, the Red Bulls did not take another win until the 145-pound match.

Elijah Gronewold stopped the Luverne roll with a pin of Solomon Neilsen at 1:43 in the match.

Harley Luhmann made it a one-point match, sneaking by Dalton Jacobsma 9-8 in the 170-pound match.

Class AA, No. 10-ranked 182-pounder Spencer Oeltjenbruns responded with a pin for Luverne to maintain their lead.

Oeltjenbruns pinned Nathan Gillis with 42 seconds left in the opening period of the 182-pound match to keep the 31-24 Luverne lead.

The Cardinals then took three straight pins to capture the meet victory.

Class AA, No. 10-ranked 195-pounder Kory Brown (195), Luis Figueroa (220) and Mark Washa (285) all won their respective weights by forfeit.

The top ranked Dragons held the Red Bulls to just three victories in their 59-9 win.
