BELOIT, Wis. - Ronald D. Booth, 75, of Beloit, Wis., died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 8, 1937, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Joseph and Cleo (Foster) Booth. Ronald was a 1955 graduate of Truman High School, Truman, Minn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Ronald married Sharon Lawrence on Sept. 4, 1961, in Minneapolis, Minn.
Ronald was formerly employed by Farmers and Mechanics Savings Bank in Minneapolis, Minn., and then five years with Beloit Savings Bank. He left the banking industry and opened an insurance agency with American Family Insurance for 26 years, retiring in 2001. Ronald enjoyed fishing, traveling and golf. He was a member and past president of the Beloit Evening Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Booth of Beloit, Wis.; children, Thomas (Jean) Booth of Eau Claire, Wis., and Michelle (Rafael) Ramirez of Beloit, Wis.; three granddaughters, Ashlee Swanson, Erica Stowers and Evelyn Ramirez; one great-granddaughter, Myka McCullough; brother, Eldon Booth of Culver City, Calif.; and sister, Jolene (Rex) Wofford of Plano, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, in the Daley Murphy Wisch and Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, Wis.
