To the Editor:
I'm not trying to start anything bad; I'm just a bowhunter who constantly hears comments from people about how there are too many deer here in Fairmont destroying people's yards and gardens, and how a lot of people feel the deer pose a hazard to vehicles too.
I am just wondering how many people are open to a city bow hunt that could be modeled after ones in New Ulm and Mankato. Some cities actually hire people to come in and shoot the deer, but what about a city hunt where hunters pay a small fee to come in? It would raise funds, and provide a service to the community and hunters.
Opposed or for it? I would like to know.
