POCHAHONTAS - Senior running back Cody Runksmeier ran 24 times for a game-leading 142 yards, and scored all four of the Warrior touchdowns as North Union downed Pocahontas Area 29-14 on Saturday during a game suspended due to weather Friday night in Pocahontas, Iowa.
In addition to his ground work, Runksmeier also caught one of quarterback Aric Runge's three pass completions for a 16-yard touchdown.
Runge dropped back to pass nine times, completing one to Braden Ortman for 18 yards and another to Kaleb Olson for eight yards, in addition to running nine times for 20 yards in the game.
After the Warriors fell behind the Indians 14-0 in the first quarter, Runge and Runksmeier connected in the second on the TD pass to cut the deficit in half.
Still trailing in the third quarter, Runksmeier ran for a pair of rushing scores - one from 23 yards out and another for a 2-yard TD to take the lead.
Runksmeier then capped the victory with a 13-yard scamper for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, with teammate Jacob Govern running the ball in for the 2-point conversion and the 29-14 win.
Jonas Hoffman went a perfect 3-for-3 for PAT kicks, helping the Warriors take the lead on Friday.
The Warriors ran for 173 yards on 42 totes in the game, while allowing the Indians to amass 205 yards on the ground.
Defensively, Ortman used his catching ability to snare an interception and made four tackles for North Union.
Runksmeier and Govern finished with nine and seven tackles, respectively, while Chase Paulsen made seven and Jeff Brickner made six.
North Union (1-5) plays host to South O'Brien in a 7 p.m. game on Friday in Armstrong.
