True value of program has to be considered

For all the claims President Barack Obama and other liberals have made about helping the middle class, the new national health care law - Obamacare - is more evidence they really don't care.

One of the proudest boasts being made by the Department of Health and Human Services is that under Obamacare, about six in 10 Americans will be able to get "some level" of insurance for $100 or less a month.

But that "some level" covers only 60 percent of health care needs. And the $100 a month is after tax credits middle class families will not receive.

In other words, while 6 in 10 people may get affordable premiums - but later get stuck with big medical bills - 40 percent of Americans will pay more. In many situations, including older people, premiums will be much higher.

No wonder Obama and his allies are determined not to deal with the merits and harsh realities of Obamacare. They don't want anything to get in the way of their legacy of "having provided health insurance to all Americans." The cost and the quality is irrelevant to them.
