To the Editor:
Martin County Humane Society will have its annual spring plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
The location has changed because of construction at the animal shelter on Margaret Street. The sale will be held in the back parking lot of United Church of Christ, at the corner of N. Main St. and W. Third St. Many thanks to the UCC church for allowing us to use their location for our sale.
We will accept plant donations from 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the church.
This is one of our many events held throughout the year to raise funds to feed and shelter the many animals that come through our door. For those of you who have an abundance of perennials in your flower beds and wish to thin out, we would be happy to have your extras. Last year's selection included hostas, many perennial varieties, cannas, dahlias, annual bedding plants, rhubarb and strawberries.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the 18th, and hope that Mother Nature gives us some nice weather.
