To the Editor:
Black eyes are piling up is correct, and the editorial board at the Sentinel should look in the mirror.
I have been a member of the Fairmont airport commission for the last two years, and during that time the Sentinel has had a representative present at only one meeting, yet the editorial board apparently feels it knows better than those citizens serving on the board. To my knowledge, no one from the Sentinel has ever contacted a board member to ask about issues relating to the airport advisory board.
More than 350 Fairmont citizens recently completed Top 20 training. I can only assume that the members of the editorial board either felt they were too good for the training or did not pay any attention.
The editorial board's comments are protected by the First Amendment; it is too bad that they started typing before they checked the detailed facts.
