SHERBURN - Service of Remembrance for Kenneth "Kenny" G. Bettin, 64, of Wadena, Minn., formerly of the Sherburn area will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Kramer Family Funeral Home Chapel in Sherburn, Minn., with Russ Steele officiating.
Kenny died suddenly on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, Minn. Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Saturday at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn.

Kenneth Gene Bettin was born Feb. 10, 1948, to Leonard and Doris (Fisher) Bettin in Halloran Hospital in Jackson, Minn. He attended school in Alpha and later in Jackson. Kenny moved around and then worked in Racine, Wis., as a welder in a manufactory. He then was employed at Tony Downs Foods in St. James and then for Sherburn Industries as a welder. Kenny moved to Billings, Mont., where he spent several years until coming back to Minnesota. Kenny enjoyed antiquing and loved flea markets, where he could always find a good deal. He enjoyed playing cribbage and having a good cup of coffee. His friends considered him the town taxi in Wadena as he was always willing to give anyone a ride to a doctor's appointment, stores, or whatever their needs may be. He spent a lot of time at 4 Boys Motor Sports in Wadena helping out his brother and nephew.
Survivors include his children, daughters, Darcie Kennaley and Melanie Harder, both of Midlothian, Texas, Candy Schweiger of Alexandria, Minn., Kari Leider of Mankato, son, Rockey Bettin of Billings, Mont.; stepdaughter, Stacy Ragle of Billings, Mont., and step-son, Ricky Ragle of Billings, Mont.; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Joyce (Duane) Bond of Sherburn, Minn., Caroline Olson of Fairmont, Minn., Gerald Bettin of Sebeka, Minn., twin brother, Dennis (Kay) Bettin of Sioux Falls, S.D., Dorothy Dunker of Fairmont, Minn., Harold "Howdie" Bettin of Alpha, Minn., Cindy (Wayne) Barlow of Jackson, Minn.; several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews; special friend, Karla Rolla of Wadena, Minn.; and other relatives and friends.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Doris Bettin; son, Roland Bettin; infant brother, Leonard Bettin Jr.; infant sister, Pamela; and other relatives.
Kenny's family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers.
