‘Army’ offers thanks

January 8, 2013
Fairmont Sentinel

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Salvation Army of Fairmont, we would like to thank everyone who has helped this Christmas season. Your support made it possible for us to distribute food and toys to more than 452 people in the Fairmont and Martin County area.

Those volunteers collected food, toys and raised funds in order to help meet the needs of our area all year long. Without your assistance, we would not have been able to make this possible and reach so many individuals here in our community.

The gifts and donations, or simply the time through volunteering you provided, brought lots of happiness and hope to the families that were in need this Christmas.

Again, thank you for thinking of others and for helping to make a difference this holiday season.

Majors Dale and Joann Hixenbaugh,

Salvation Army, Fairmont
