BLAINE - Watertown, S.D.'s Tara Hamann scored a natural hat trick and assisted on one other goal to help the Arrows to a 6-4 victory over the Cardinals in the consolation championship in the Schwan Cup Tournament on Saturday in Blaine.
The Arrows jumped out to a 3-0 lead with two of Tara Hamann's goals, with assists on both goals from Kaityln Muhl.
Muhl scored at the 6:38 juncture, with an assist from Tiffany Hamann to split up the Tara Hamann lamp lighters.
Jalyssa Wilson took a pass from Myah Lytle and Tieryn Arens for the first Cardinal goal with a player advantage midway through the Arrow penalty at 11:42 to cut the deficit, making it 3-1.
Rahm then made it a one-goal gam, scoring another power-play goal, just seven seconds into the penalty with assists from Taylor Nuss and Logyn Cone.
Lemon's unassisted goal with 40 seconds remaining in the period notched the game at 3-3.
Muhl and Tara Hamann combined for another scoring effort at the 10:47 juncture of the second period, giving the Arrows their second lead of the game.
Kayla Piorkowski extended the Arrows' lead with an unassisted goal at 12:10 in the second period.
Just 35-seconds later Wilson notched her second goal of the game with an assist from Brooke Lemon to make it a one goal game going into the third period.
Tara Hamann sealed the 6-4 victory with her third goal of the game, a shorthanded and unassisted goal at 12:15.
Stacey Dunbar made 25 saves for the Arrows on 29 Cardinals' shots on goal.
Miranda O'Connor made 13 saves on 19 Watertown shots on goal.
