To the Editor:
I was surprised and humbled by the results from the election for Blue Earth's Ward 1 City Council seat. Although I was not elected, I would like to say thank you to all of those who supported me, for spreading the word, liking my Facebook page, and overall having confidence in me to bring a fresh, new perspective to issues that Blue Earth faces.
There is no mold that a City Council member should fit, but rather it should be somebody who has a genuine concern and open mind on how to make Blue Earth a better place to live, young or old, new-comers or longtime residents.
