To the Editor:
I write with a grateful heart. For 15 months, I have made a personal lobbying effort with Congressman Tim Walz, D-Minn. I am heartened by his new emphasis on stopping invasive Asian carp, which would do great damage to Minnesota's economy in all of our waters.
Walz's approach is shaping up to be a real comprehensive plan to stop the spread of the invasive fish.
We need to endorse his plan to bring all states, the federal government, Canadian provinces and private businesses together in our battle to save Minnesota from what I know to be the most dangerous fish species we have ever encountered.
We must save the Minnesota River and the Fairmont Area Lakes.
I am voting for Tim Walz.
