SWEA CITY, Iowa - Services for Elnora M. Mayne, 92, of Swea City will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Swea City, with Pastor Roger Godfredsen officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Township Cemetery, Swea City.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel, Swea City.

Elnora Morine (Poppe) Mayne, the daughter of Adolph and Caroline (Christ) Poppe was born August 11, 1920, in Ledyard, Iowa. Elnora passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at her home in Swea City, Iowa, at the age of 92.

She received her education and graduated from Lakota High School.

On June 6, 1943, she was united in marriage to James Mayne in Lakota. After their marriage, the couple farmed and lived in rural Ledyard. Elnora enjoyed sewing and quilting, for hobbies.

Elnora was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Circle.

Left to cherish Elnora's memory is her husband, James; two daughters, Jolene Engelby Ledyard, Iowa; Pat McCormick and her husband, Stan of Elmore, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and brother, Adolph Poppe Jr. of Lakota, Iowa.

Preceding Elnora in death are her parents; son, Roger; daughter-in-law, Donnalee; sisters, Katherine and Meta and brother and sisters-in-law, Donald, Alice and Lois.
