PAULINA - The South O'Brien Wolverines football team shut out the North Union Warriors 38-0 in Paulina on Friday night.
The Wolverines scored twice in the first quarter to build a 13-0 lead.
South O'Brien tacked on another double digit quarter in the second to make it 24-0 at the half.
Two touchdowns in the third quarter sealed the shut-out victory for the Wolverines.
Warrior junor quarterback Jacob Braddock rushed 11 times for 38 yards to lead the ground game, and completed three passes for six yards.
Two of Braddock's three passes were caught by fellow junior Cody Runksmeier for eight yards.
Runksmeier also carried the ball five times for 25 yards of offense, while junior Marshall Klingenberg tacked on another seven totes for 11 yards.
North Union senior Ty Anderson had one 5-yard carry in the game.
For the defense, senior Jake Adams made one interception, returning it 57 yards and recorded 11 tackles.
Anderson contributed a team-best 13 tackles for the Warriors. Both Garrett Johnson and Runksmeier recorded six tackles in the game.
North Union's senior Matt Adams and junior Aric Runge each recovered a fumble for the defense.
North Union (1-6) travels to Harley for a 7 p.m. game against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn on Friday night.
