ST. CLAIR - The Truman Bluejays volleyball team went 1-3 on Saturday, defeating the Randolph Rockets for its lone victory at the St. Clair Invite.
The Bluejays started off the day with their first match against the hosting, St. Clair Cyclones.
The Cyclones won the match easily, downing Truman 25-9, 25-15.
Truman faced the Rockets in the second match, taking the 25-21, 25-20 win.
The Mountain Lake Area Wolverines dealt the Bluejays a 25-13, 25-23 loss in the third round of the invite.
Sleepy Eye Saint Mary's beat Truman in the fourth round, 25-15, 26-24 to end the Bluejays' day.
Emily Zaharia recorded a team-best 22 kills, 64 digs, 11 blocks and four ace serves to lead the Bluejays' efforts.
Savannah Stevens generated 20 kills, 30 digs and eight service aces for Truman.
Hanna Hartman dispensed 12 kills, while Emma Wiederhoeft tallied three kills for Truman.
Sam Hartwig doled out 22 set assists and made 16 digs.
Alexis Jahnz distributed 14 set assists along with seven kills, 36 digs and two ace serves.
Ashlea Fadness made 21 digs and had one kill for Truman.
Kaitlin Bloomquist also made 11 digs.
Sarah Schwanz served up four aces, and made 34 digs in the Bluejays' effort.
Truman (2-17) travels to Nicollet for a Valley Conference match at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
