SHERBURN - The Martin County West Mavericks volleyball team outlasted the St. James Area Saints to finish 1-3 at the Jackson County Central Invite on Saturday in Jackson.
MCW downed St. James Area 25-22, 25-20 for the lone match victory of the weekend.
The Mavericks lost to Minneota in their first match 25-20, 25-24, before Cannon Falls delt them a 25-24, 25-24 loss in the second match.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton defeated MCW in the third match, winning 25-11, 15-19, 15-8.
No individual statistics were reported.
Martin County West (8-3) travels to play Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in Northrop.
