SIOUX?FALLS - Jean Marie Schultz, 63, passed away July 13, 2012, at Dow Rummel Village.
Jean Marie Schoewe, daughter of LeRoy and Thelma (Allgood) Schoewe was born Feb. 15, 1949, in Fairmont, Minn. She grew up and attended country school and graduated from Trimont High School in 1967.
Jean was united in marriage with Roger Lyal Schultz on Oct. 21, 1967, in Fairmont, Minn. She worked for Madsen's, Red Owl, County Market and Rosen's. The couple moved to Tea, S.D., in 1994, where she worked for Rosen's and Sanford Women's Health. Roger passed away Jan. 22, 1995. Jean moved to Dow Rummel in 2011.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, baking, gardening and socializing with her friends. She was especially known for making her amazing mock angel food cakes.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Paul (Lisa) Schultz; two grandchildren, Abby and Jackson Schultz; sister, Barbara (Virgil) Jacobson; brother, Bruce (Jeanette) Schoewe; uncle Larry Allgood; aunt, Arlene Schrieber; nieces Brenda (Jacobson) Smith, Pam Jacobson, Jessica (Schoewe) Lamberetz, Amy (Schoewe) Pigman, Andrea Schoewe, Stefanie (Jass) Sorenson, nephew Bob Jass Jr. sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sally and Bob Jass; family friend, Mark Cook, many wonderful, supportive coworkers through the years. She was godmother to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as to friend Andy Porisch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; parents; twins in infancy; nephew, Billy Schoewe; and godparents, Elizabeth and Art Huebsch.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls. Visitation will begin 3 p.m. today, July 16, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home, with family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m.
