MINNESOTA LAKE - Braden Rahn delivered an RBI single to plate Kenzie Krowiorz with the game-winning run with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to pace Mapleton VFW Post 5338's 4-3 victory over Fairmont Post 1222 during baseball action Tuesday night in Minnesota Lake.
Ironically, Fairmont trailed 3-0 heading into the top of the seventh inning and erupted for three runs to knot the game.
Luke Becker triggered Post 1222's late comeback by lining a leadoff triple before scoring on Ben Abel's RBI double. Abel then crossed the plate on Trason Arens' RBI single to slice Mapleton's margin to 3-2.
Jonathon Soucek later singled home Arens with the tying run during the top of the seventh.
Becker went 2-for-3 to top Fairmont's six-hit effort, while Cole Emler added a hit.
Emler allowed four runs - three earned - on seven hits, struck out two and walked three in 6 1/3 innings to take the loss for Post 1222.
Fairmont (10-9) plays host to Lake Crystal at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in a doubleheader at Herb Wolf Field in Fairmont.
