FAIRMONT - Mass of Christian Burial for Angie B. (Eisenmenger) Wickert, 88, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to the service at the church Monday.
Angie passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont.
Angeline Barbara Korolewski was born May 16, 1924, in East Chain, Minn., the daughter of John and Frances (Maday) Korolewski. She attended District 6 country school in East Chain. On June 15, 1943, Angie was united in marriage to Francis Eisenmenger at the Holy Family Catholic Church in East Chain and the made their home on a farm near Sherburn. In 1953, they moved to the edge of Fairmont and Angie worked at the Fairmont Canning Company. Over the years, she also worked at the Toot-n-Tell, Melody Grill, managed and purchased Laur-Els Caf and worked at the Lakeview Methodist Healthcare Center. Francis passed away on May 1, 1992. Angie then married Burdette Wickert on May 18, 1996, and Burdette passed away on March 1, 2006. Angie spent the past 7 1/2 years in the Lutz Wing. She was a member of the Fairmont Eagles Club, St. John Vianney Catholic Church and St. Catherine's Circle.
She is survived by four daughters, Joyce Whitcomb and her husband, Lee, of Green Valley, Ariz., Kathleen Crain of Mankato, Minn., Debra Padgett of La Crosse, Wis., Vicki Ogren of Sherburn, Minn..; grandchildren, Jesse, Tamara, Elijah, April and Andrew; great grandchildren, Ella, Easton, Makayla, Hailey and Alex; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Angie was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirlee Eisenmenger; two husbands, Francis Eisenmenger and Burdette Wickert; brothers, Theodore, David and Clarence Korolewski; sisters, Marie Charnecki, Leone Elliott and Jean Moore.
