BANCROFT - The No. 2 Class 2A North Union Warriors scored three runs in the first and four runs in the sixth innings to pace an 8-0 victory over Lake Mills on Tuesday.
North Union's Allie Ingalls led off with a double in the first inning to start the Warrior scoring rally. Tori Johson hit a sacrifice to move Ingalls to second.
Cheyanne Boland, who went 2-for-4, hit a triple to score Ingalls from second for the first Warrior run. Boland scored on a passed ball in the next at-bat.
Collete Haag hit a single to keep the rally alive, and scored on a passed ball to give North Union the 3-0 lead after one inning.
In the fifth inning the Warriors added another run onto their lead.
Cheyanne Boland reached first on a fielder's choice and scored on Dena Looft's sacrifice fly to make it 4-0.
North Union's Sara Johnson led off the sixth inning scoring rally with a single. Jasmine Clausen sacrificed to move Johnson into scoring position.
Autumn Boland hit a double to score Johnson and then scored on Ingalls single.
Ingalls reached second on Cheyanne Boland's single and Haag hit a double to score both runs.
Haag held Lake Mills scoreless through seven innings, giving up seven hit and striking out one in the win.
Haag also led the offense, going 4-for-4 with a double, one run scored and two RBIs.
Cheyanne Boland went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI triple. Ingalls went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI double.
Sara Johnson went 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Autumn Boland went 1-for-2 with an RBI double.
North Union (29-4) will host their first playoff game on Thursday July 5 at 7 p.m. in Swea City. The Warriors will host the winner of the first round playoff game between Sioux Central and Okoboji on Tuesday July 3 at 7 p.m. in Milford.
