FAIRMONT - Funeral services celebrating the life of John J. Laudenbach, 90, of St. Cloud and Fairmont will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud.
John passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Truman Senior Living Center in Truman. Reverend Eberhard Schefers will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
John was born March 14, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late Walter Bohlig and Loretta Laudenbach. He joined the U.S. Army during WWII and served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He married RoseMae Schriver on Aug. 3, 1946, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud and lived all of his married life in St. Cloud. John was employed as a switchman for Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement in 1980. He moved to Fairmont in 2008 and lived with his daughter. John was a member of St. Paul's Parish, the Burlington Northern Veterans and the St. Cloud Veterans of Foreign Wars Granite Post #428.
John enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with family.
Survivors include his children, Michael Laudenbach and his wife, Donna, of Kerkhoven, Kathryn Laudenbach of Fairmont; four grandchildren, Nikki Jones, Todd Laudenbach, Mark Laudenbach and wife, Tanya, Michelle Laudenbach; and seven great grandchildren, Brently, Nicole, Danielle, Brandi, David, Landen and Lauren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, RoseMae in 2004; and sister, Alice Brunner.
Memorials are preferred.
