To the Editor:
On behalf of the board of directors for Heaven's Table Food Shelf, I would like to announce that we have been able to serve 75 households with more than 3,000 pounds of food during the last two weeks of May. We began serving the public on May 15.
Heaven's Table Food Shelf hours are 5-7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday mornings.
Thank you to the many volunteers who have helped in several different capacities.
During the summer months, many children are at home and not receiving food service through the school systems. This increases food demand from families with school-age children and we are in need of additional contributions.
If you are in need of food assistance, come to the food shelf during open hours. The phone number for the Heaven's Table Food Shelf is (507) 238-5424. Financial donations can be sent to Heaven's Table Food Shelf, 1243 Lake Ave., Fairmont, MN 56031.
Food donations can be delivered to the food shelf during open hours. It is located at 909 Winnebago Ave. in Fairmont. Stop by and see our new sign.
