They’re helping kids

April 30, 2012
Fairmont Sentinel

To the Editor:

Folks from a variety of walks of life have filled our hearts and the Industrial Building out at the Martin County Fairgrounds.

Tim Borne and Doug Borchardt donated three semi loads of racks and display units from Penneys for Kinship's Industrial Commercial Rummage Sale/Auction. Then the problem was how to get them loaded and moved out to the fairgrounds? Dan Fitzgerald to the rescue. He made several trips to provide a Fitzgerald Moving semi and was always at our beck and call.

We couldn't have done the loading and unloading without our Sentence to Serve crew and their leaders, Kyle Redenius and John McDonald. They all were energetic, courteous and hard-working guys. They are truly giving back to our community and have our greatest respect.

We also are grateful to the Martin County Fair Board. Without its generosity, we wouldn't have a place to put all the things for our sale.

Come out to the fairgrounds for our sale Thursday and Friday, May 3-4, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. for our auction.

It's said that it takes a community to raise a child and all of these wonderful folks are helping kids by helping Kinship.

Thank you.
