ST. PAUL - And the winner is ...

Unfortunately, individual prep track & field results from the Hamline Elite Meet at Kras Stadium in St. Paul were not available on the university's web site prior to the Sentinel going to press on Friday night.

Fairmont senior Ryan Heuer competed among the state's best hurdlers in the 110-meter highs and the 300-meter intermediates, while Cardinal freshman sprinter Sasha Riley hit the paved surface against the top quarter-milers.

Blue Earth Area senior Marissia Hagedorn topped the area representatives by testing her skills against the best competitors throughout the state in the high hurdles, 300 hurdles and the pole vault.

Blue Earth Area junior Krista Hassing competed against the elite 800-meter runners, while also running a leg on the Bucs' 4x400-meter relay team consisting of Taylor Grandgenett, Karli Olsen, Anne Franta and Shayna Stevermer.

Blue Earth Area senior Jake Zebedee, one of the few prep pole vaulters in the state to clear 15 feet this season, tested his mettle in his specialty, while Buc teammate Isaac Darrington battled the best in the state in the high jump.

Madelia/Truman's Caleb Arndt, Lee Leal, Adam Cooling and Cade Ekstrom traded handoffs against the elite 4x800-meter relay teams, while Martin County West sprinter Haley Jensen - a late invitee to the meet - competed against the top speedsters in the 100-meter dash.

Look for results in Monday's sports section of the Sentinel.
