A fire at Lincoln School in Fairmont caused the evacuation of programs located in the building Friday. Stepping Stones Learning Center and ALC students were relocated to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
A call went out to emergency personnel at about 9:50 a.m.
The fire was out by 10 a.m, but smoke caused the programs to send the students home for the remainder of the day.
Reports indicated the fire started in a gym behind the curtain on a stage, and that there was minimal damage.
