To the Editor:
On behalf of the Heaven's Table Food Shelf board of directors, I would like to thank the community for its support and encouragement of our efforts to establish a food shelf and services to help close the gap on the hunger needs in Martin County.
Starting today, and continuing on successive Tuesdays, from 5-7 p.m., we will accept donations of non-perishable food, non-food supplies and financial contributions at the food shelf location at 909 Winnebago Ave., Fairmont.
We will not be able to offer services the public at this time but we plan to be able to start to serve the public at the end of March. Watch the local papers for specific dates and times.
