To the Editor:
Our family experienced the concern and support of this community in a remarkable and miraculous way last week.
Our dog, Max, was missing from home for seven days during the freezing weather and blowing snow. Law enforcement, Minnesota Motor Bus, Fairmont Elementary School staff and students, Southern Plains Special Education staff, Sentinel personnel, KSUM and many others all went out of their way to help us find Max and to bring him home. We were thrilled on Sunday to hear from a loving rural family that Max was found in their yard, cold, hungry, but alive.
The expressions of support and encouragement from every corner of this community were heard and appreciated. We are grateful to live in a community that cares for all of God's creatures in loving and visible ways. Thank you to all who shared Max's journey with us.
